POSITION
The Demand Planner & Buyer is responsible for forecasting product demand, planning inventory, and managing the buying process to ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities.
This role plays a key part in balancing creative ambition with commercial performance. Acting as a bridge between production, sales and operations, the Demand Planner & Buyer supports informed decision-making, optimizes stock levels, and contributes directly to the brand’s growth and profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts across product categories and seasons
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and new product performance
- Monitor sell-through, stock levels, and replenishment needs
- Translate forecasts into clear buy quantities and inventory plans
- Support seasonal range planning, drop planning, and collection reviews
- Identify risks and opportunities related to overstock or stock-outs
- Own the buying process from initial order placement to delivery
- Place purchase orders and manage delivery timelines with suppliers
- Track production progress and follow up on delays or changes
- Support pricing, margin analysis, and open-to-buy management
- Prepare weekly and seasonal performance reports
- Support continuous improvement of planning and buying processes
- Contribute to the implementation of tools, systems, and processes to support scale
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s level (HBO) working and thinking level
- At least 4 years of experience in a demand planning and/or buying role (fashion or consumer goods industry preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
- Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience working with sales data, forecasts, and inventory planning
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proactive, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Netherlands based, as this is an on-location role (Amsterdam)
