We’re on the lookout for a Freelance Fit Technician to join our Amsterdam-based fashion brand. As a key member of our team, you’ll drive the fit of our products, ensuring they align with our brand’s vision and meet market demands. From creating specs to fitting samples, you’ll play a key role in maintaining quality and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBITIES
- Conduct fit sessions on live models, dress forms, or samples and evaluate fit, balance, proportion, and overall garment construction for men’s and women’s styles, across all product categories
- Provide clear, actionable fit comments and corrections to patternmakers and factories
- Measure garments and verify specs against approved size charts and grading rules
- Review and approve samples at various stages (proto, fit, SMS, PPS)
- Identify fit issues related to pattern, construction, or fabric behavior and recommend solutions
- Maintain and update fit standards, measurement charts, and technical documentation
- Communicate fit feedback clearly via written reports, photos
- Ensure consistency of fit across styles, sizes, and categories
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design and production teams to meet timelines
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical fitting within the fashion industry.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and sizing standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English
- Excited about working in a small, growing business and working closely with the design and production team
- Flexible working hours, available to work 1-2 days a week
- Netherlands based, as this is an on-location role
